Fred, you are sad indeed with that made up stuff you are dribbling.

I hope the mods don't find that 'uncivil'

Interesting. Do you have a source?

"Mr Farage said he employed his German wife as a secretary as "nobody else" could do the job, with its long hours."

Seems like he's working her long into the night, I suppose it gives him time to nip out and check up on his other staff in the small hours. I hope he's paying her well.

Ah, so nothing to do with her being German then. Just that she's his wife. There some stuff that I wouldn't trust anyone but my wife to do, but then she's a different nationality to me, so maybe I'm racist.

You seem to take a very racist interpretation of the situation. Are you sure it's UKIP that's racist?

Can someone who genuinely knows the answer confirm if UKIP MEPs vote against every EU directive proposed as a matter of party policy rather than vote based on each individual debate in its own context?

There have been two, somewhat innocuous debates I have been made aware of, which would in my opinion improve life in the UK for some had UKIP MEPs voted in favour of the motion, the two being to combat crimes against wildlife and the second being with regards to the design of HGVs to better aid driver visibility and improve the safety of motorists, cyclists and pedestrians, instead they chose to vote against....

Seems like a terrible waste to me, they could be doing a lot more to benefit the UK than they are at present, fortunately there are other more proactive EPs who voted in favour and the motions passed. Do UKIP supporters know that their preferred MEPs will vote against each and every EU motion presented as a matter of course? I understand their position on wanting to leave the EU even if I don't agree with it myself, but surely whilst they are MEPs, they should be doing what is best for the UK?

UKIP vote on just under 2/3rds of the available votes. Farage votes on less than half.

As you say they voted against safer buses and against some animal rights issues.

Also voted against (or not for) equal pay for women.

There are lots of YouTube videos of UKIP MEPs doing their bit.
Re the two motions you mention, to put it into balance, did the other (non UKIP) MEPs vote in favour?
More to the point what was the result?

I think most UKIP MEPs use their position to put across the message that the shower in Strasbourg are unelected and is undemocratic, so they want bugger all to do with it bar get their message across.

Just listen to Gerard Batten UKIP MEP, (London) speaking last year.
Don't you agree that every word he speaks is true?

Hence why I want out like a growing (by the day) number of our populace, hence I couldn't care one jot what they talk and vote about in Strasbourg, because they are 'un'elected. End of.

As I said if you want, there are many YouTube videos of UKIP MEPs in action.
Here's one just last week on recycling with Stuart Agnew.

Now, can you see why the meddling UN-elected commssion gets it all wrong?

I can see why they vote against everything. The EU is asking for power to regulate things, they are essentially voting against allowing the EU any more control, whatever the issue.

LOL.

Gotta love religious zealots.

No, they didn't vote on EU's power to regulate things. If those posters are correct and if pablo is correct, they voted against equal pay for women, and against devices that would make it safer for drivers (British ones including, ones who's job is under threat from 26Mil destitute europeans) to do their job.

However, they didn't vote or refuse benefits including salaries, advances, expenses and pensions which were paid to them to do their job.

How stupid do you have to be to try to justify voting against something that would help safety in order to prove a point?

Beyond contempt.

I have no strong feelings about elephants.

It's only relevant if that HGV 'safety' move/change if implemented WORKS!
- I'm sure you would agree? rolleyes

This is how far it will get. (as UKIP realise)

The implementation may not only be costly - possibly unaffordable - but not only that, as a review of the fatal and life changing injuries inflicted on cyclists by HGV's in London pointed to a disportionate involvement of construction site vehicles.
Guess what?
These EU changes will 'not' include construction site vehicles (they are exempt from any new requirements).

And last, but not least, your wonderful Tory coalition is highly likely to oppose the changes anyway.

as said recently
'The UK government is still talking about amending the version supported by their and most other MEPs.'

Bloody joke and the sooner we leave the better, and sort our own safety guidelines by those 'elected' by us, and if they don't, those we can kick out. Unlike our EU 'un'elected commission who 'impose' on us regardless.
