Stunning car and stunning value. A proper barge!
What's happened here? Didn't expect to see that up for sale so soon? Lovely car!
I need to make way for a couple of new arrivals.

I am sorely tempted. I just have no-where to put it!

I don't think you'll have any problems selling that! What's it making room for?

Sounds great, good luck with the sale. I'd love one of them but if I bought that I'd be sleeping in it! wink

I still like the look of these. Nice wheels and the 4.2 in a great colour with a reasonable 98k miles (though there's still the gearbox to worry about). Not too bad for £1,750, it would be nice to knock it down to £1,500 though. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2014...

were the gearbox to KABOOM tomorrow. that'd break for more than that. Y2Blade did exactly that... drove it until it broke and then sold it off for a profit IIRC.

Lovely Lovely cars, was looking at them before I took the plunge with this CLK
Now with a new ad at £1,250 http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2014...
Staggering value for money. Why join the diesel-on-finance rat race when you could be swanning about in one of these? Would I have another over the XJ? I'm not sure, but I'll soon be writing on my thoughts comparing the two.
Agreed! My 4.2 was a bad example and I moan about it but there's a reason it's still on my regular searches - this generation of A8 look great, are very comfy and have a lovely V8 snarl. One of the best looking big cars ever.

The technology and competence you'd get in your £1,250 above is stunning!

Link doesn't work for me - it gone already?

It was the W124 day today at the Haynes museum, good barge day out! There was one of the 7 RHD AMG S124s up for sale for I think 3.5k.

i'd prefer the previous gen boxy one but they are all dust and have been for decades.
Got rid of my '94 214SLi in 2002 and it was rust free. I was impressed by how well put together it felt. The panel fit and finish was excellent and the interior had a quality feel - the Honda influence presumable.

Was a good car and easy to work on. Just a bit slow with a noisy engine...

The Honda influence was indeed strong with the Rovers of that era and they were all the better for it.

Cat, any more thoughts/pictures on the E55?
Still loving it, will be happier when I get a chance to give it a good wash. Been snowed under at work this week so it's still filthy. Will get some decent pics up then. smile
Managed to get the w210 washed over the weekend, not a brilliant picture but just happy to see it clean...

extremely nice. Dont think i'll ever tire of the noise!

Mine goes into the indy tomorrow. fingers crossed it comes out with a clean bill of health. Although the exhaust has developed a bit of a blow frown

Addictive isn't it! I'm contemplating the secondary cat delete although I don't want it too loud.

Hope all goes well tomorrow!
