I still like the look of these. Nice wheels and the 4.2 in a great colour with a reasonable 98k miles (though there's still the gearbox to worry about). Not too bad for £1,750, it would be nice to knock it down to £1,500 though. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2014...
were the gearbox to KABOOM tomorrow. that'd break for more than that. Y2Blade did exactly that... drove it until it broke and then sold it off for a profit IIRC.Lovely Lovely cars, was looking at them before I took the plunge with this CLK
The technology and competence you'd get in your £1,250 above is stunning!

It was the W124 day today at the Haynes museum, good barge day out! There was one of the 7 RHD AMG S124s up for sale for I think 3.5k.

i'd prefer the previous gen boxy one but they are all dust and have been for decades.
Got rid of my '94 214SLi in 2002 and it was rust free. I was impressed by how well put together it felt. The panel fit and finish was excellent and the interior had a quality feel - the Honda influence presumable. Was a good car and easy to work on. Just a bit slow with a noisy engine...

Cat, any more thoughts/pictures on the E55?
Still loving it, will be happier when I get a chance to give it a good wash. Been snowed under at work this week so it's still filthy. Will get some decent pics up then. cat220 said:
Managed to get the w210 washed over the weekend, not a brilliant picture but just happy to see it clean...
extremely nice. Dont think i'll ever tire of the noise!Mine goes into the indy tomorrow. fingers crossed it comes out with a clean bill of health. Although the exhaust has developed a bit of a blow
