I don't really like these (even with lpg!), but there can't be many cheaper ways of getting to 60 in 5 seconds on four wheels. £3,695.

A great spot - I like the idea of turning up to work in one of these and everyone assuming it's some diesel rep, or an old car, and then demonstrating V8 supercharged stuff at lunch! The leaper must go though.

I've always liked these and I'm deliberating about this one. I just know that I don't need two 4.2 litre Jaguar supercharged V8s!
You don't NEED 1 Jaguar with a supercharged 4.2 litre V8....but it doesn't stop you wanting one. Do it. Life's too short.

I'm not helping, am I?

Peter Sagan may disagree. I've never tried a kenda car tyre but they are massive in the bike tyre world.

Looks like a potential cracker of an XJ12:

http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C531109#

Reluctant sale of my beautiful Jaguar. The stunning dark blue body is complemented by the cream leather interior. The mileage is only 61,000 and the car has a comprehensive main dealer history file including a fully stamped service record book. Servicing has been completed regardless of mileage; firstly at 'Stratstones' and then at the highly regarded Jaguar main dealers 'Hadley Green Garage' in Hertfordshire who looked over the car meticulously. The car has been rustproofed with 'Waxoyl' and there is a Waxoyl certificate in the history file. The car drives faultlessly and also benefits from a personalised number plate, which adds prestige and value. All the 'sovereign' electrics work including the electric sunroof, electrically adjustable front seats, cruise control etc. Stainless steel exhaust. The car also has air conditioning and the original toolkit supplied with the car when new is also present. The car has a long MOT until 14/3/15. The car also has road tax until February 2015. A car to be enjoyed and a great investment.

If it was nearer bonus day I would be very tempted to have a look. Scary fuel economy and maintenance bills I suspect though!

V12, low miles, very well looked after, perfect generation for me... three and a half grand, it's just crazy. I'd only disagree with his final statement about it being an investment, sadly.

Ooh yes. I do miss my E39 540, I'd definitely have another and that's exactly how I'd want it this time around - Imola, Sport, auto.

Is it really that sad and unimaginative to want a matching pair of Imola BMWs? Because I do...

That XJ12 is a fantastic thing, too. Lovely.

SHould the door handles be black?

Put a set of original wheels on and this could be nice. Not many left with this mileage... Interior looks mint.

If you can control the propensity to rot (buy a solid car and get it treated) then the bills for these are quite paltry. Mainly just rubber bushes and hoses.

These are great cars.

I loved the rear electric blind on my A8. What a joy that was to pop in traffic.

Love the Series XJs (and XJ40). Is the V12 badge on the rear standard? and is that rug hiding a sun damaged parcel shelf? I'd want a 4.2 personally, the V12 scares me.

bow Never mind being an Alfa owner making you a true petrolhead, V12 ownership is where the big 'cahones' are at! hehe You do realise we need pics now? And a readers wives rides thread?

Our 750 V12 is just so lovely and 'whooshy' like a turbine rather than a grunty engine. Is the Jag v12 similar?
