That's good to know, I'll just leave it on point and click!

I bought a few charging docks and wouldn't bother with a cheap one again... The official one is much easier to use and a better fit

Mine are from eBay so could be different? Its just a pain trying to get the phone to stay in it and charge. With the official one you can just chuck it in and it slides home nicely and seems to pick up the charging points much easier

Finally got around to sticking a new nano sim in to my Z3C . . . think I've broken it already!!!!!

OOPS!

Pulled the fiddly sim tray holder out and it came right out of the body. I didn't feel it snap, but it looks as though it has.

Can anyone confirm whether it should have stayed fixed to a slider mechanism or is it designed to come right out!?

If snapped, will get in touch with Handtech and see if they'll swap the phone!

Can't recall 100% with my full fat Z3, but I'm pretty sure the SIM holder came out when I was swapping SIM's. I know the one on my original Z comes straight out, not sure how useful that is though.

I would imagine they are the same or very similar, about £7?

Oh and yeah to the other poster the tray on mine came right out so don't worry

Bought one of these for charging on the go, much more sturdy than the crappy ones I bought from eBay.

Yeah, appears to have a fairly strong magnet, you can still knock it off but it's much better than the eBay chargers I have

Decided this was the "dust-proof" phone for me! My Blackberry(ies) didn't survive the dust in my workshop tbh.
Due an upgrade from T-Mobile but I couldn't get through to anyone on EE who could help me with upgrading. "You need to go into the shop".
In shop - "You need to do this on-line" - but I was told to come here -"Ah, depends who you speak to"
EE on-line doesn't recognise my phone number because I'm still T-Mobile.
Eventually .................... eventually, got to speak to someone. "The database is in shreds, we're working on it. I'll add you to the 1.2million others who can't log-on".
Fk 'em.
Followed advice on here and bought the phone outright from Clove plus the charger dock, last Wednesday 22nd Oct.
Phone arrived, dock didn't. Call to Clove and dock arrived next day.
Spoke to EE, bought nano sim from them, same DD details "sim will be with you tomorrow" (23rd).
Sim didn't arrive, phoned Friday 24th. "Card is out for delivery approx. 15:30".
Sim didn't arrive. "Please wait till 20:00"
Sim arrived Monday 27th - posted 2nd class so no way was it "next day".
Phone can't connect to internet.
EE call-centre "what's the number on the back of your sim card" She tells me to wait 24 hours - "It sometimes needs that long to set-up" - sigh.
Tried all day yesterday - still no internet connection.
No internet connection today.
Called EE call-centre. 40 minutes trying to decipher a very strong Irish accent. Went through everything - nothing had been "set" on the phone APN's Proxy, Port, Server, Password etc etc.
I'm guessing this is normal for a "bought" phone? (rather than an upgrade).
Anyway - call-centre techie gave up "call you back in 10 mins"
That was an hour ago.

Looks like a nice phone though.

This has been the only issue I've had with EE so far, they completely cocked up moving me from Orange to EE, leaving me without a phone for 3 days. To be fair they gave me a credit and it's been smooth sailing since then.

One thing to try, is to go into the phone settings, go to "More", then select the Internet Settings option. it should set everything up for you (APN's etc). It doesn't need a data connection to do this either, you might just have to select which network you want.

If that doesn't work I'd go into the store and not leave until it works. They might not have supplied the phone, but they certainly supplied the SIM card.
