Hi

Need to ship two packs of aluminium components back to the supplier.

Each is about 25kg, 2.2m by 0.6m by 0.4

The are not boxes, they are in polythene bags.

Had a look on Parcel Monkey and have a price of 62pounds which although a fair bit is cheaper than the 200 the supplier wants to collect. (item value 500).

Unfortunately the parcels need to travel from North Wales down to Kent, otherwise I'd consider taking them myself.

Any recommendations on companies to try?

We've tried a courier auction site, but because of the distance they are not viable prices.

you could try Atlas http://www.atlas-courier-express.co.uk/disccole.ht...

I've used them in the past for no urgents, they will plan around other deliveries and hopefully manage to tie it up with something over your way.

Try Palletline. I've used them to go from the North West to South Wales and it was about £40. For you, it could be in the range of £80...

Give Ukmail a try:

http://www.saynoto0870.com/cgi-bin/forum/YaBB.cgi?...

tells you all the depots, give one a ring and ask to speak to an account manager and ask them what they can price up instead of the contact us page on ukmail website.

parcels2go has allways been good for me, might be worth looking at pallet couriers as well, its generally only £60 to send a pallet.

Ended up using DX Couriers, and in turn nightfreight. (booked via Parcel Monkey)

Very happy with the service and our boxes were back at the supplier the next day thumbup
