Sticker kit is 2400 plus VAT and then fitting on top.
Comical. You could get identical ones mae up for a fraction of that.

yes And you could keep to the original sticker designs, but pick your own colour scheme - something that would look much better than the original grey/red, which just doesn't work on blue.

Letter from OPC would read something like...

Dear Mr PistolP,

We are happy to report that the engine/gearbox/suspension/wheel/PCM fault that you reported has been fully rectified.
As part of our investigations we noticed that your 4.0 stickers were none standard, as such we were unable to complete the fix on your issue under warranty. Please find enclosed a request to drop your pants and lube up your invoice for a gazillion pounds.

For what it's worth, the OEM decals are better quality than the aftermarket ones. I was working on a gen 1 RS with gen 2 decals a few months back and the difference in quality between those and my dad's 3.8RS was very noticeable. Depends how keen an eye you have I guess but the OEM once are extortionately priced admittedly!

Had a look at it when I popped the car in to JZM this morning for fettling. I'd forgotten quite how lovely your new toy was (last saw it when it was at Reading undergoing PDI). Just one thought - if you wanted decals that would complement the black accents and wheels, would you consider the 997.1 RS side decals? I reckon that might work quite well actually...

See above!!!

If I do do anything to it it'll be as per original. Ideally I'd like it with the decals and silver wheels, but it's quite a kerfuffle and a not insignificant amount of money.

Ex-factory for that car is as it currently sits though - black wheels, accents et al. If you go for retrofitting the standard decal pack then it surely won't work unless you also have not just the wheels, but also the turning vanes, wing end plates, lipstick and mirrors repainted silver. Is that part of the provisional plan? I haven't seen one in Mexico with all the silver stuff on it, but not that my opinion on the subject of your toy matters - my imagination reckons it is better as is... paperbag

The LHD and RHD prices seem to be converging for the 4.0s. This is a nice car but they make it sound as if it has the most desirable spec - which it has not.

"The specification is that of a car that one might classify as “Touring” whereby the optional equipment doesn’t feature a cumbersome rollcage, awkward harnesses or hard seats"
