I think if this referendum had happened maybe 30 years ago it would have been a foregone conclusion,we would have had independence no problem. Now that the country is absolutely stacked full of Chinese,Pakistanis,Indians,Polish,Africans, whatever, most of them won't give a toss either way,so no real Scots left to vote now to say anything either way.
For example the last time i was in Glasgow i was going to see someone that was selling an Integrale, walked into a work shop full of Pakistanis/Indians 'and',more importantly, a huge warehouse full of half cars!!!Needless to say i turned on my heels and walked out.Incidentally,in this area of Glasgow without a word of a lie i never saw one white Scot, walking or driving,i was genuinely shocked!!
Kipper in a tartan suit? hehe

We must remember that this isn't racism it's civic nationalism and wholly acceptable.

I think with this post, and the recent - who is better "us or them" and the memorable - "lets spend our way out of poverty", this thread has surely reached its nadir.

I think we should have a new thread titled "Sayings of ARP1". We can then invite PH'ers from other threads to read and wonder at how someone so clueless is allowed to post without supervision.

I think (hope) he's outed himself as a troll. The 'spend our way out of trouble' bit did it for me.

With every page a new low is reached by our Nat friends still it's made for some good laughs and a few "poor Scotland with this lot at the helm" moments but I think now the reality is setting in the yesnp know the current economic situation is not conducive to setting up a new state and there was no sudden surge in backing from major corps promising to invest in a new country in fact many have hinted at leaving. An thus paying for a socalist utopia has never got off the ground.

so now we are seeing a deluded few resorting to racism and insults in the hope of reducing the grins that are starting to form on the no campaigns faces. They might not win a landslide but post a no vote the knives can come out for the snap and the question of a referendum can be dismissed forever.

I think PVC driver has been banned (again) -- this time he has hit a new low a shocking comment about a fellow PH

The ratio of anything to zero is infinity is it not? (or have I got my maths wrong? hehe)

And what kind of regimes generally do this?

Private websites that would otherwise be liable for anything said upon them I guess. Not quite sure what relevance that has to the debate in hand, but never mind...

Well I have heard Pistonheads called quite a few things but 'regime' is a new one. Of course your statement is fundamentally correct though:

http://www.scotsman.com/news/politics/top-stories/...

to give but one example. I also seem to recall a speaker at a Scottish Parliament committee being shut down in a rather brusque way when his views seemed not to suit the SNP chairperson.

ETA: Ooh look, another one:

Oooh, look at you!

Get over the stupid "racist" slur as it makes you look highly unintelligent. Bonus points for the Buckfast slur rolleyes

The old school trying to silence pro-independence posters by banning them reminds me of some lessons we've all learnt from history.

That's all.

You have consistently banged the YES drum
