Folks,
Looking to find a venue with the missus to celebrate our marriage around Easter time next year.
We'll already be married, so no wedding will take place, more a celebration with close friends/family (only about 15-20 people.)
We envisage a ceremony/celebration outdoors, then an afternoon of eating a nice meal, drinking, catching up and being happy in a small village pub, then somewhere for a few of us to sleep for the night (probably a pub/hotel).

The requirements:
Close-ish to Leeds - say an hour drive or less, but maybe 90 mins could work. Not impossible to drive/taxi back to Leeds area from in the evening.
Nice, small village with a good pub where we could celebrate with a decent meal + drinks.
Accommodation in the village or close by - at the same pub, a hotel or similar - ideally under £100 for a double room (maybe 10 or so people will stay over).
Somewhere outdoors nearby where we could have our celebration - like a park, lake, something where we'd be dressed up and everyone could stand around and celebrate.

So over to you Yorkshire folks, where would you suggest that sounds like this?

Timble Inn is lovely and a front runner for our wedding. It will be quite a small do also.

Red Lion at Burnsall.

Myself and three friends stayed at the Carpenter's Arms near Thirsk a couple of weeks ago, we'd spent the day at the shooting school down the road.
They have (very nice) accommodation on site, good food, beers and wine and a nice atmosphere. Won lots of awards for the food, staff are friendly and accommodating and seem keen to keep their good reputation.

They have decking and gardens out the back with lovely views over the vale of Mowbray too.

Bit more than £100 a room but of there was a party I suspect they would do a group rate.

Some absolutely fantastic suggestions from everyone.
Really like the look of all of them.
Used to go to the Devonshire Arms when I was in sixth form and enjoy the posh cars + helicopters while struggling to afford dinner. hehe
If anyone has any more thoughts, keep 'em coming.
Thanks smile

I went to a wedding at Yorebridge House up in Bainbridge (Nr Hawes) which was a really nice place. Was only quite a small wedding. Also some great driving roads which is always a good thing

We got married at Red Lion Burnsall. Great family that run it, good grub, good rooms, lovely setting. We had drinks, fireworks etc on the grass land by the riverside which was a nice touch and presume they can sort you an appropriate/scaled down package if not a full blown wedding etc. Good luck

The pheasant hotel in harome. Suoerb venue and epic food - some of the best in n yorks. Much better than its neighbour the star inn. We eat there a lot and it's our go to venue for meals out with friends and family.
