Hi, I have a pair of in ear sony headphones (unsure of model but only 30 quid or something) but they always fall out when running.
What ones do you use that keep in place, are over ear ones any good for this?
Thanks

Might not help, but ive found that if I put the cable up my back inside my t-shirt it controls/stops any bounce and movement hence stopping my in-ear headphones falling out.

I use sennheiser cx300 (iirc)

Cheap ones!

I use these, which give far better sound quality than the price suggests:

I've had these for just over a year now and can't fault them. Get used twice a week for running and four times a week for the gym. Sound quality is fine (I'm no audiophile, but the songs sound fine to me...). I really like the bar, keeps them secure and I don't experience any 'sound leakage' as the top review says - I think he just has the wrong-sized ear buds.

I have a Sansa Clip mp3 player so got some Sennheiser Mxl570 or 750s one or tother.
Theyre lanyard style so hang round your neck with only short wires to the earbuds so no pulling/bouncing problems.

No good if u keep your player/phonebin your pocket tho.

Thanks, I will look for those plugs with the back band then and give them a try, sound quality is not important while running, just something to take my mind off the boring monotony of the exercise!

These are mine, best earphones I have owned for jogging.
Only issue is they rub against a collar.

Same here. never fall out, and fit around your neck conveniently when you don't want them in. After about 2 years' use one of the speakers gave up and I replaced them with a look-alike pair from Lidl which were £3.99. Sound quality not so good, but once you are actually running you can't hear the difference over the panting/wind noise/clothing rub anyway.

Sony in ear without a cable are great and waterproof so no issues with washing sweat off or running them under the tap.

Got a second set for my wife after she kept stealing mine, can get them for £45ish if you shop around.

I have a pair similar to these, very good. The only problem I have though is that mine are waterproof but they do get a little crackly sometimes when I sweat a lot.

Sennheiser CX685. I've tried a lot of these 'sports' buds over the years. These are by far the best for staying in the ears. They have extendable sliding pieces that press against the inner underside of your ear IYKWIM. They're not the best sounding but more than adequate when I'm running or beavering away in the gym.

Bugger, my Sennheisers have stopped working...they are around 6/7 years old.
Parkrun tomorrow morning too, looks like I'll have to use my walking ones (bud types) for the nonce, but now I am looking out for some proper jogging ones. The wrap around sort are the sort I'm after...but something new.

If you need headphones for running you probably need to find a different hobby that you actually enjoy.
