Hi all - I have some dust behing the glass of my dash pod, is there an easy way to get in there to clean it out?

Light cover off from behind in wheel arch. Poke a Hoover in with attachment as a small windscreen washer wipe pipe on end to suck out. Or attach cloth onto something thin e.g. Wire, to shift gently.

Is it me? I think there is some confusion here smile The dash pod isn't accessed from the wheel arch?

Yes, take the dash pod out and clean it. You could in theory do it in situ by removing the black surround and then removing the perspex but for an extra 20 mins to pop the pod out to do it on the bench its not worth the fiddling about.

I'd try compressed air going in one end, and a hoover at the other in theory it will blow it about and eventually get sucked in?

If not I will see you when I see you and get it sorted then wink

Thanks all, it is indeed the dash pod i'm talking about - how does it come out and is it then easy to get the casing and glass separated?

Sorry, I was having so much fun taking the mick out of ShiDevil I forgot to answer the question.
There are a couple of screws under the dash (you need to adjust the steering to access).
Mr Varley's bible will set you in the right direction.

Two bolts either side of the dash, accessed from underneath. When removed there are 4 bolts that hold the clock pack to the dash binnacle. It might be easy or it might be hard to separate the back surround & then the perspex from the clock pack itself it depends on how well they stuck it down. The glue will peel away easy enough and I stuck mine back down with silicone or you could tape the perspex cover back into place.

When you put the binicle back in just make sure you don't trap the ribbon cables off the heater controller or the light switches with the 2 bolts that hold everything into the dash.

Cheers Steve. Did you know that the Cambs TVR lot are meeting out your way on 17th April, I'm sure they would like to see the orange beast if you were about.
