Been a very long time since I last looked at accoustic guitars. Having tried a few there are few makes that I recognise. Was thinking of something around 300-400 pounds and so far the ones that have seemed best were the Seagull S6 and the Yamaha APX500.
Doesn't have to be electoaccoustic though.
Are there any others worth looking out for?

Yes, there are, the Simon and Patrick range. They've got some nice guitars at your price level. You should also see if there is anything nice second hand in your area, it could be a way of getting a better quality guitar for the money (if you don't mind some bumps and scratches).

I have a Simon & Patrick Mahogany and Cedar that sounds beautiful (Better when someone else plays it though!! laugh )

Also have an Art & Lutherie that sounds superb too!

The Canucks really know how to make a fantastic acoustic clap
