Deleting Music from Hard Disk

Just curious - does anyone know if a BMW dealer would delete all music stored on the car's hard disk before selling on ?

Not sure if they do it as a matter of course. However, I wiped mine before handing it back. It's very easy to do.

I would be a bit miffed if I bought a used car and it had somebody else's stuff on the hard disk and their destinations on teh sat nav.

Thanks PP hadn't thought about sat nav destinations - particularly "home " address. Bit of a security issue there maybe. I'll be sure to clear them myself.

I cleared mine too but your home address is listed on the V5 so the next owner can track you down quite easily if they want to.

I was actually glad of the 'Home' address in the sat nav of mine when I got it. I only received one key and couldn't use the V5 to contact the first & only owner about a spare as it was registered to BMW Alphabet and leased to a company. Alphabet refused to play ball so I ended up sending a letter to the 'Home' address and I got an email reply from the guy who had it as a company car with some info - although no key unfortunately.
