The Heineken Cup is dead

The European Rugby Champions Cup will start next season. England, France, the Pro12 lot and emerging nations (not sure whether Wales comes into Pro12 or emerging nations, can anyone help).

Sounds good, but then the HC did good. So not sure how to feel about this. The fact that there's an agreement (not before time) is obviously a positive.

Did a lot of good. But became unfair. English and French teams had to qualify through a tough league campaign. But the teams in the Rabo League didn't - almost automatic qualifying. What should have happened was the top 4 in each league qualifying; if that meant 4 Irish/ Welsh 'clubs' from the Rabo, then tough. It's up to the others to raise their game, not relying on silly rules to qualify.

I think if they did get the victory it would be a match we would be talking of for years. So left us hope so.

It was an exciting match, right up until the final penalty. Good play by Munster, but I have to say that Toulon isn't as good as I expected it to be. The final is not a forgone conclusion.
