This is the Typhon that was ordered as a Typhon and built as a Typhon under PW. The Goodwood car. The only car to run with the supercharger.

The problem was that TVR couldn't manage the heat. At the same time the gearbox kept locking at speed. And these options were dropped long before any customer cars were delivered.

Now, to continue the semantics, the other two cars are also Typhons. They are Typhons because that is what the owner of the company decided were Typhons. By 2005/6 the race program was over and the need for two homologation models (T440 & Typhon) ended so the T440 name was dropped and the only car was the Typhon. And at that time the list price of the Typhon was £135k.

So, the sequential box was dropped, the SC was dropped, the race fuel tank became standard, the rear seats became standard all before the first customer car was delivered.

This particular car was never delivered to its customer but retained by the factory until I bought it in 2010 and fitted a new engine and gearbox and finally put it on the road.
That customer is my Cousins, Fiances Dad tongue out They really messed him around, interesting story about that one, much of which was related to Smolensky wanting the car for himself.

Hi Steve. Yes, I got the impression he was buggered about by NS and also PW before as he never came clear about the issues and the state of the business.

Sounds stunning - even better from outside. Had to laugh at the car park dilemma; end space or tree sap, hmmmm, which shall it be. No parent and child spaces?

Good times! I remember you passing me. My Griff 500 at about @9.14, and tvrtuscans Sagaris RT Prototype was in front of me, on your Lap1 video LMC 2012 Paradw Lap 1

We were so lucky with the weather - it poured down for the session either side of ours.

Hi. I drove in for an hour in the rain from Vendome and if the sun hadn't come out for our laps and the circuit dried a bit there was no way I was going to risk going in the circuit. I was also very relieved as we drove up the queue to see that most cars were Tivs. We gave a massive berth to those Ferraris, they were being driven really badly by some proper idiots. Even then we got stuck for ages behind an old blue one that wouldn't move.

I was very pleased to have my Yorkshire copilot for spotting purposes. He learnt his skills copiloting with me round the Ring. Wouldn't have liked to not have a spotter as it was still a little chaotic and damp in places.

A great weekend and great people. First outing with the Typhon and I'm pleased I got some video.

Yeah, that first lap was full of some terrible driving - most non-TVR cars I might add. We let them fly past and gave lots of room, likewise my copilot was very useful. The rest of the laps were great. Very glad the track had dried out, I saw the Porsche laps and the spray and standing water was awful.

Your Typhon looked and sounded great when you went past. If I had the cash, I'd step in to buy it. It must be tough to bring yourself to sell...!

Big fan of your RT, very nice. Ah yes, saw your "guess what" post on the new car, very intriguing. Damn, missing the Classic this year, so won't see it!

Thanks. It's a phenominal car. Not quite sure why I'm selling it but I just don't get the chance to use it.

Yes, unfortunately it was. Just on the Mulsanne Straight. I can't remember the chaps name now. I think a post went up at the time. Made a bit of a mess at the rear quarter and front wishbone when it bounced round, if a remember.
