I am sitting down watching this programme on Channel 5, I am 10 minutes in and still cannot decide whether this is a wind up,a spoof,or a UKIP advert.
The leg less guy ( that is a guy who has lost both legs ,not a drunk ) who gets about on a skateboard , the other extended family of 22.
You could not make it up.
Me I'm emigrating to Romania ,getting married and coming back to England with my new wife ,her mum ,dad ,brothers etc. and claiming benefits.

A famous skateboarder in the 80s? I remember a few computer games with his name on anyway.

I have come to the conclusion that the people behind Channel 5 have a mission:

1.To show IMHO what is some of the best of USA TV on it's assorted channels
2.To show the very worst of the UK (if not it's programmes) on the flagship channel itself.

I am amazed they don't have Jeremy Kyle doing studio discussions after each of these type of shows.

And then there are people like myself who get nothing.
I have paid taxes all my working life , but I'm still not eligible.

Presume the police now have enough evidence to prosecute the hero who was coming to the UK to raise 40K for his dream family home - funds to be raised by his self-confessed intention to burgle a few empty homes and a touch of pick-pocketing, dinner for the family provided by a bout of shoplifting..

I know it was designed to infuriate but this is madness...

We need to adopt the Australian way

Want to come to this country then

- prove you want to work, contribute etc

- have skills such as a degree, MA ,PhD etc that will be useful in this country

- secure employment before moving

At the minute in the UK it is

- turn up

- don't speak a word of English

- thick as two short ones with bugger all qualifications or trade skills (pickpocketing is not a skill)

- expect everything on a plate, job, house, benefits for life

We don't even screen them for disease like TB. Something some relatives of mine had to go through when they wanted to emigrate to Canada in the 1920s.
