CLK320 CDI Tyre recommendation

Hi, my wife has a CLK320 CDI with AMG 18" alloys and we are in need of new rear tyres (255/35 R18). This is our second set of Avon Coopers and they are wearing very quickly. We have had 8-9k miles out of each set. Most of the journeys are to work which is 10 miles each way and has about 1.5 miles of dual carriage way and the rest is at 30 or 40mph speed limits. There are then occasional trips up and down the motorways (200-300 miles each month).

She's not much of a speed demon and I was expecting to get 15k miles out of her tyres. I'm struggling to find any good recommendations on the 'net, can anyone help me?

Hi my wife has same car we use falkens all round, get about 18000 out of rears about £110 each, no problems at all, good in the wet,and quiet on the road
