On a K-Series - I have the lightweight Superlight one, but its appears to be cast.

I'm surprised it's cast, but that. Is t a problem provided that the cross section isn't less than 8mm at the friction face. Usually cast flywheels give a problem when they have been lightened without regard to their material weakness. I imagine the flywheel you have will be good for 8000. If you are going beyond that I would recommend a steel one.

Thanks Dave.

Mines a lightweight casting, not the steel one on the R500.

I'll be reducing the limiter down to 8600, so I'll need a steel one. Do you reccommend the PTP item? http://www.ptp-ltd.co.uk/shop/382_118/1/caterham/c...

You can cast steel too... I'd say that one will be OK. It's in common use and often used above 8500.

The PTP one is the same as Carerham supply, I have a couple in stock. Check the spacing of the flywheel bolt holes carefully as I have had two that were I correctly drilled.
