Some horrible viruses around at the mo.
Discussion
Is it just me, or are there some horror colds/viruses going round at the moment?
Here was me thinking that with on the onset of warmer weather, illnesses would be easing off. Instead, my two young boys have been really rough for the best part of a month, and I am feeling particularly crap. Yet all through the winter we were all fine.
Has the UK been delivered a boat-load of sickness bork recently?

Yup a lot around at the moment. Went down with vicious flu just over 3 weeks ago & it just took me down. This is the first week back to work & still not 100%. When the out of hours doctor says lay in plenty of industrial strength pain killers, some decongestant & some cough medicine, then go to bed for at least a week possibly a 2, you know he means it!
even though I am on some pretty potent immunsuppresion drugs, even when people get the norovirus or really bad flu's and i have to look after them, all I get is a bit of a runny nose and a bit of a foggy head.
and my white blood count is 6.5 and the 'good' levels are between 4-11, so even with the immunsuppresants my levels are pretty good.
suppose it all comes down to what antibodies you have floating around your blood, and once you catch something, its very unlikely you will catch it again, as those white blood cells that fought it the first time stay around and your body remembers what the virus is and knows what shape and type of white blood cells to make.
