I was at the Hampshire TVR meet yesterday at The Millburys, a great turn out of 31 TVR's with only one S - mine. Anyway, one of the Chimaera owners was demonstrating a Surrey folding roof. It looked like a great piece of kit for touring. Has anyone fitted one to an S and what's the experience?

They are available for the S from the link that Mike has provided above.
He also advertises in Sprint.
I made an enquiry some time ago and they had them in stock.
For me the price out weighed the benefits
Thanks Gary

A popular option for the Chimaera as it allows even more space for golf bats in the boot. biggrin

Yes, it's Steve TopGearTVR that has one.
Nice but pricey.

If I had one, I'd want it with a fringe on the top. ( You have to be VERY old to appreciate that one! )
But then I'd only put more stuff in the boot........

Hi,
I have one of the surrey folding roofs on my S2. It is easy to put on is weathertight and fits better than the origional panels. It folds into a neat bag and even when stored in the boot there is still decent space left.
I know the manufacturer (via the TVR car club) and He uses my car to trial fit the components and finished roofs.

I have one and it's the only roof I carry. It's great for storage and ok in use. Worth the money but room for improvement :-)

What needs improving? Was thinking to getting one for each of the sisters.

Was so nearly tempted, but the price is just a bit too steep.

Always fancied one but price is not right for me, so would be interested in a group buy.

Group buy : maybe but at 20% discount they still would be around UKP 400 ?

Has any one contacted them regarding a group buy? I'm going to contact them next week anyway. So would people like me to ask?
