Campsite recommendations - midlands

It's right next to the canal, allowing for a long, gentle bike ride. There is a pub next door that does good pub grub with large portion sizes and have a good selection of real ales and ciders.
It's quite a quiet site with no playground or anything for kids. There is a fairly new shower/toilet block which was spotless and decent, good sized shower cubicles. We only went for one night (but paid for a late check out so it felt like we were there 2 days) so all we did was drink and chill out on the first day with dinner in the pub, then bike ride the second day.
We went on a Monday at the beginning of March and were surprised how busy it was for a weekday out of season. The chap parked next to us was a regular and goes about 7 times a year, is seen as a local in the pub said that the weekend before we went it was full.
Not sure if you'd be allowed open fires, best to check first. Not sure if you're in a tent or a camper. If it's a tent I'd check to make sure they allow tents. There were none there when we were there.

We were up there a couple of weeks ago trying a new (to us) folding camper and it was pleasant. Good pub across the road and manifold trail plus loads of bikers buzzing around. Made an uncertain situation (two small kids in an unknown eBay special) pleasant.
