I'm off to Adenau in June for a long weekend, bar doing the nurburgring, eating at Pinocchio's & the pistenklause what else is there to do?

When I went in 2007 the museum was great, but last time I went (2012ish) it had all been turned into empty shops etc.

Any ideas of things to do to fill the time whilst not at the track?

Take a drive alongside the Rhine River (a few miles to the East), don't worry about which way you go (north or south), you will be amazed at how beautiful it is.

Done that in 2008 and had an amazing day

Have a run out to Cochem on the Mosel, it's lovely. Wife & I spent a nice afternoon there a couple of years ago. It's about 40 Km away to the southeast and some of the roads around there are excellent.

Cochem is a good bet but can be a bit full with tourists in the summer. Koblenz is also nice to have a wonder around.

I'm assuming by your name that you might be local to the area? tongue out

I'm staying at the blaue ecke - I've been there about 7 years ago, is it still a nice place?

I've lived in Adenau for nearly 17 years, so yes, pretty local biggrin

And yes, the Blaue Ecke is a nice place to stay.

I got back on Monday - Only ended up doing the downhill toboggan thing from the list of suggestions but it was amazing! I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone else that wants something to do for half an hour whilst the car cools down after a lap of the ring!
