Evening,

I've managed to warp the OEM discs on my 05 R1 so I'm looking at replacing them with upgraded items rather than standard - any recommendations? I've looked at PFM/EBC/Brembo and they're all roughly similar money but I've no idea which is best smile

Many thanks

Dave

They are Brembo items to start with (I think)

The master cylinder is made by them, but nothing else.

I have both standard and Galfer. I prefer the Galfer

Cheers guys, I'll speak to Yam to see how much they're gonna hammer me for some new discs and pads!

Would you use standard pads also or uprated?

Agreed... I rate the standard pads highly... also like SBS RS pads.

No idea, I put it in for a service at Yamaha and they say they're both slightly warped, not enough to fail an mot but enough that I can feel it juddering under heavy braking. How would I 'unstuck' the bobbins? smile

Toothbrush, carb or brake cleaner and patience

Stick a nut n bolt through them, soak them in brake cleaner & spin the bolt to turn the bobbin so it scrapes the brake dust off.

Don't mean to be funny but what help is it suggesting something you've never tried when someone's asking for a sound recommendation
