My wife's Golf twist is 3 years old next week. Is the extended warranty worth taking out, any idea on cost and what it covers?
Or is there another company anyone can recommend as good as but cheaper?

Thanks

We've got one of those in the family and I expected to get an offer as the warranty expired but nothing arrived, so can't help on cost. I'm minded to move away from VW for service & repair anyway.

I've got a WarrantyDirect warranty on another of our cars - only made one claim which was painless. If you try WD put your correct details into their online form and wait a day or two and they'll call and it seems they'll do almost anything to get you to sign up. I got the excess and waiting days zero'd.

O/T: How are the wheels on your car? Just had a row with VW as I think the finish is going but the dealer says they're OK. Fitting diamond cut wheels to a car like this was madness.

Its provided by Mondial and generally seems quite good. Certainly the closest you can get to the original manufacturers warranty. Same company also underwrites SEAT/ Audi and BMW/ MINI extended warranty products.

Made a claim on an Audi one without issue.

Cost is about £500 per year I think. Depends on annual mileage and voluntary excess.

Wheels seem fine to be honest. Was a bit strange having those wheels on a cheap car! Car is fine but slow as f**k!
