Quick question...

The MSA video and book seem to offer slightly different descriptions of this in fact the book offers very little difference between the white/black compared to the black??

Cheers me dears!

The black means you *MUST* come into the pits immediately, be it drive through, stop/go or straight up DSQ.

Black/white diagonal means you're being observed for your driving, stop driving like a prat! You DO NOT have a penalty yet or have to come into the pits...

It's rather funny when a driver comes into the pits having been shown a black and white, even more so when it wasn't even for them. hehe

bla and white means you are being watched, either behave or start thinking up excuses. black flag means you must come into the pits and have your sob story ready for the nice folk in race control

a black can be given for something as simple as a driver forgetting to sign on for a meeting

Thanks guys that's what I kind of guessed, but in the MSA book it says:

"Black & White Diagonal Flag

The driver must stop at his pit within one lap of receiving the signal and report to the Clerk of the Course. A penalty of exclusion may be enforced by display of the Black flag."

I assume its just plain wrong lol!!!

Thanks for the feedback much appreciated smile

This is from my 2014 digital copy.

Strangely, in the full download it's at p272, but the chapter download shows it as p264. Must have removed the ads in the chapter download versions.
