Hi All,

As so many posts start...been lurking on here for some time but I now feel I have something which may be of interest to others.
I wanted something to use as a demo car, had to be from the early/mid seventies, not too big, with motorsport overtones and be able to run wide 13" wheels. I recently picked the attached silver 2002 up at auction, importantly, it runs a 2.3 E30 M3 lump mated to an E21 5 speed gearbox, so good power to match the rather aggressive planed looks.
The bodykit I plan on using is a copy of the only 2002 to run at Le Mans, prepared by Heidegger (white car) but will be painted red and white as in attached pic.

Regards

Jonathan

Ooh lovely.. Will watch with interest....each to their own of course but the car looks very straight to chop about body wise, not a criticism mind you.

Either way a lovely looking car with some added grunt to boot smile enjoy.

Ahh the car from the Auction at Kings Lynn. That was the busiest auction I think I have ever been to! Your 2002 was a very nice looking car.

I went there to look at the 3.0CSi that was there for a friend, but it looked too much of a project...

OP: what a great find - the 2002 is a lovely looking car, and with that engine.... cloud9

Indeed they are, still.
I'm wondering if that 131 Racing may be one I used to own in the late 80s when I was 19-20. I can't see the plate on it, but my 131R was from Bormuff, as am I.

Plans are:

6 point cage with removable diagonal so rear seats can be used.
Bespoke tow bar which when removed there is no outward sign.
Matching red and white trailer and wheels.
Recaro Pole position (black) for driver and replica Recaro Rallye 2 (made 74-79) passenger seat (allows access to rear).
Bilstein coilovers, front and rear brakes, ARBs etc from http://www.engels-rennsport.de/index2.html who made the replica Le Mans 2002 car in 1st post.
Period replica dash with Smiths Chronometric type rev counter and VDO auxiliary gauges.
E21 4.1 diff with LSD.
Pull my finger out and get a 13" version of our PAGs in 7, 8 & 9 x13. I'll be running 8s front with Kumho K70A 215/50-13 and 9s rear with 235/45-13.
