I dunno I didn't stop to find out, I slowed right down to sub 10mph (2nd gear, no power on) gave 'em enough time to scatter to the verges and kept going... didn't hear any shouting or see any raised fists/fingers in the mirror on either occasion though.
Plenty of time to react, saw them coming from miles away (well a mile away at most) it's the fact they didn't react until I had actually slowed right down and was within metres of them ready to stop.
If I'd been barrelling along at 50/60 mph (NSL road) in a low slung sports car I probably would have run straight into them... luckily LR's aren't renown for their high speed hooning prowess and I was bumbling along at not much more than 40.

I was going by cyclists in London. Well, the aggressive ones. On the pedestrian crossing from the office to Paddington Station when I was there you would frequently be yelled at, sometimes screamed at, by cyclists who thought you were in the wrong crossing the road with the green man when they were ignoring the red light. One guy went to fend me off Rugby style. Red light, you stop; green man, I go. Easy. I just avoid London... too many people and too much happening in a (relatively) confined space
I know I'm missing out on some things, I really want to see the Natural History, British and Science Museums.
But I won't just avoid the stress/hassle/getting lost & inevitable late night mugging.

Ah you're missing out big time. I have personally never found London to be stressful, quite the opposite in fact! With things like transport there are so many busses, trains and tubes that even if you miss one another will be along in 5 mins. Getting lost is a thing of the past if you have a smartphone, and I have never been mugged despite being a young skinny white male and being in some dodgy areas. Methinks your idea of London is nothing like the reality! But then I adore this city, so it's not as if I am unbiased...

Ah, London...
Step daughter #1 had her hen night in London. I dropped her, her sister and Mrs C outside a restaurant in Soho on a Saturday evening where they met friends. I parked the car in a back street and walked along, amongst others, Carnaby Street, Oxford Street, Park Lane and Piccadilly. In dined opposite the Ritz... in a Prêt à Manger. Oh, well. Then across Piccadilly Circus back to Soho. I had loads of time and stopped and looked at anything I wanted. I never felt spooked as some people think would be inevitable. It was marvellous.
It does help if you like the place, which I do, very much. If you're concerned about your chances of survival, it also helps that it has probably the densest CCTV coverage of anywhere in the world.
And so much history.
Love it.

Mine was a 2.3 V6 manual Granada L. Brilliant car.
To my eye there is something of the Fiat 130 Coupe in the MkII Granada. This is a good thing.
Alex, iva - do you fancy the Willoughby Arms in Kingston on Wednesday evening? Five o'clock or so? Rick the landlord is having a hog roast for St George's Day.
April the...

don't forget.
It's a pub with everything: seven ales in principle, usually six ales in practice, five types of pizza, four varieties of pie, three sorts of nuts, two pub dogs and a pub drunk.
All welcome, not just Alex and iva.
