The blurb did say about 6 pubs on route...thought count me in...

Me too. I'll be the fat fk at the back puffing about on a 6" bike with 'all kinds of wrong' 1x10 gearing.

London to Brighton for me - will be my first event, and first time ive ridden on the road with more than one person. So far have only done one 54 mile ride and a few 40's, but not unduly worried about the distance, just the hill at the end. Got some time left to practice though.

Would also like to try a mountain bike race this year, although Gorrick (the local-to-Bracknell organisers) don't have any XC-type races in the diary yet (though theres mention of some events in September to be announced)

This, in every respect, barring my longest ride to date being 32 miles! (Although I currently commute 30 miles a day)

Did PdS a few years ago which was fairly tame - this should be pretty mental!

The Evans Ride It Sportive starting in Knutsford next weekend.

The Welsh Raider in August with Pablo, also of this parish.

Maybe the Circuit Breaker in October.

London to Brighton Night Ride. It's been over 20 years since I last rode that sort of distance. I've got less than three months left to prepare. yikes

London to Brighton: tomorrow for fish and chips, not really an event, just an easter tradition!
London Phoenix Easter classic (Monday)
Tour of Wessex (3 days/335 mile option - yes, I'm bricking it)
Ironman Melbourne next year.

Probably a few other things as the mood takes me smile

The big two for me this year is the Wiggle Mountain Mayhem, riding that as a team of 4, and the week of after riding the Thetford Summer Enduro, which is 10 hours solo. Otherwise my usual diet of cross country mountain bike and summer series cyclocross racing.
