should German cars be banned from lane 3??

Following on from the post surgesting trucks being banned from certain lanes
For safety reasons , German brands seem to attract aggressive drivers so maybe they should be barred from lane 3 as they often tailgate and undertake...

Well that wouldn't make sense - Lane 3 belongs to German brands so banning them from there would mean making Lane 1 or 2 the new fast lane and that's just silly.

How very blind a comment this is... You overtake two cars in L1 and L2 who are travelling at 60 and 70 respectively, leave a suitable gap before you attempt a safe manoeuvre and before you know it the guy behind you has decided you've taken far too long and nipped into the car length gap and accelerated off into oblivion in L2... By far the most often manoeuvre seen on the M25 when work kicks out... Important people with important places to be and no time for little people obeying the speed limit and regs of the road....

Put your indicator on 5-10 seconds earlier. Problem solved.
The car you over took - knows you are coming in. ( into a nice safe gap )
And so does the car behind you.

Try it - post back with your findings.



Edit: If it still happens - indicate another 5-10 seconds earlier . Repeat until it stops happening.

Just add a 10kg weight to the left hand side of all non German vehicles steering wheels, then when your shaking your fist at us for trying to overtake your inferior vehicles you will naturally drift back into your correct lane and out our way.

So so true. Too many idiots hogging the outside lane for fear of going into lane 2 and not being able to get back out into lane 3.

RE undertaking, it should never take place as all lanes bar the far left are overtaking lanes. once done, you should return to the furthest left lane available. any thick driving in the outer lane at 70 while the others are free deserves to be undertaken

German cars should be able to use a dearest rioted hard shoulder, it should be law that they have a turboboost button ( kit had one in the 80's ffs ) to jump any broken down french cars.

You're very funny. Almost comedic. Believe me i've found that indicators mean nothing to most road users on the M25.. Some even leave them on for hours at a time...

Excellent plan. Round my way we can afford more lanes which leaves lane 4 clear for proper cars!

P.S. I'd stick a limit of lane 2 on SUVs, along with all other trucks.
