On the OBC you can select to see miles left to empty, I have noticed when you have a trip plotted on the sat nav you also get a round dot on the miles left line, can't find anything in the manual, anyone know

Cheers

It tells you how much fuel you have left once you reach your destination, or conversely whether you'll have to fill up before you reach your destination.

Took me a while to figure that out too!

Took me a while to get my head round it. But the amount to the left of the dot is what will be left and the amount to the right of the dot the amount that'll be used.

That is indeed a very useful built in feature! I currently don't really bother using the car's sat nav most of the time.

Just need to wait 1-2 years for the F10 to be within my budget biggrin

I think it is actually the other way round - what is to the left is what the car expects to use. So, if you just fill up and have around 400 miles of fuel left and you are doing a 300 mile journey, the dot is towards the right hand end of the gauge (about 3/4s of the way along).

I agree with DB, it shows what you're using to the left.

Slightly off topic I managed 26.9mpg over 111 miles at an average speed of 64mph today which I am absolutely astonished with - I don't often see near 20mpg and my last fill was 13mpg the other day smile

This is my best so far in the M6 GC, quite impressive given the performance available.

Ah well - normally I'd be amazed but we were half way on our Easter trip from the South Coast to Cornwall (Wookey Hole to near Wadebridge via The Jamaica Inn for a look around.

So, 50 miles on the M5, the balance on A roads.

We arrived at our destination and as we know F10 M5's are pretty rare (I hardly see any at all) and there's a very nice black one in the car park of the cottages we are staying in - anyone here on PH? Looks good, standard 19" wheels and black/black.

Anyway, thread hijack, sorry wink
