Pot, and kettle my friend. You don't need to have driven / ridden the "exact" models being discussed. Certain configurations have known traits - often as result of the compromise the manufacturer makes.

That looms very stylish. If the price is right and the build quality isn't as bad as the 'Chinese builders overseen by Italian engineers' line suggests, it would be a great buy!

Apart from being half the capacity and better looking. But what's the problem with that anyway?

That is the crux of the matter, as well as how good the dealer/importer support is. Moto GB don't have a great reputation.

FWIW the quality is supposed to have improved under Chinese ownership, though that might not be saying much.

The ER6F and n are great bikes, nice and cheap but plenty good enough for some fun, even if restricted.

Far too late in life for that mate.

You're still sitting on a failure to exercise critical thinking correctly though.

Not at all, i've based my view on first hand experience, a definition of critical thinking. You however applied an argument based on a fallacy of composition.

Pump your brakes son, that car's a national treasure!
Such a national treasure that Honda didn't even bother officially selling it in the UK wink.
I've driven a DC5 a couple of times and if say yes it's a really good handling fun car but it's not a sports car not particularly quick.

No, just a reply having logged in 3 months later. Unless a view point has changed since, then time is of no relevance just as with your contribution at this point in time.

Unless of course, you think time is relative and this would define it as "chavtastic", in which case by introducing yourself now your post would also be "chavtastic" by your own definition.

Unbelievable thread derail.

The OP comes here for 'biker' advice and this is where it goes. Could we please just drop this
and agree to differ and leave it at that?

Time was of relevance as I was in Venice whilst you had presumably just returned from some Tibetan monastery somewhere refining your come back.. Which was of course wrong again.

I don't care mate. You do what you want and the best of luck to you.

I cant believe people are trying to argue that a 125 will turn people away from cars and will feel sportier than an EP3 Type R, that's utter rubbish.

I rode a balls out 125cc Aprilia and sure it was fun on the corners but had nothing on the straights, an EP3 would feel more fun in most respects i think.

In fact, i sold a Yamaha FZS6000 Fazer as it was pretty boring. Even though it had around 100bhp i found my Peugeot 306 Rallye more fun.

Do your DAS and get the bike you want.

Aprilia RS125, I can get how people may find it boring, but a Fazer 6 should have enough ponies to keep most entertained? It'll even wheelie if you poke it with a stick. Maybe you were riding it wrong?

Actually now i think of it i did DAS and had a GSXR 600 as a first bike years ago. If i was completely new to it and did it in stages perhaps i would have thought differently anout 125cc bikes and the fazer etc. Don't think I'd have been riding it wrong, i think its probably to do with riding either very powerful or torquey bikes then trying a 125.

To be honest the RS125 and the FZS600 were not boring per se, they just failed to exite me.

Even an MSX125 is fun in it's own way. And that's as slow as balls. Fair play though.

All bikes are fun if youre a true rider. Theyre pushbikes you dont have to pedal. Anyone who doesnt enjoy having a go on a c90 isnt getting the point.

Personal experience has taught me that to be a superior all rounder to most normal cars requires 600cc or more on a varied point to point journey.

My supermoto is 400 cc and is quicker through traffic than my blade, but a few straights and most normal cars would be past her. I've never had any, ANY car in fourteen years of owning the blade even keep it in sight when i've decided enough is enough. But i still love riding stuff like c90s.

Right tool for the right job.
