So I saw a black Range Rover Sport RS today all camouflaged up with bright blue brake callipers. The roar of the engine was unbelievable and it sounded louder than the current 5 litre supercharged RRS.

It really is going to have blistering performance!

What are people's opinions on this new car as part of JLR's range and do you think it will sell well?

There are quite a few people with unofficial orders in for it. wink

Will be interesting to see how it sells though. Rumoured to have compromised off-road performance, and if like the XJ-R a reduced options list, so many may be put off, even though their cars go no where near a blade of grass.

That'll be me then with an unofficial order for one…. I've got a Supercharged on order for the end of the year - to replace my current SDV6 ATBiog. I hope the RS get announced soon so I can confirm that rather than carry on with 'just' the bog standard 5.0L! Depending on who you believe/read, JLR have supply issues with the 5.0L engines - so I assume they're delaying announcing an RS until that's resolved. Having said that it's the NY Motor Show this month isn't it?

Yes, chronic shortage of the SC engine and in effect, my dealer tells me the car has been pulled from this model year. The RRS RS is just going to increase demand along with variants of the F-Type Coupe. I doubt we will see many RRS RS in the UK.

No chance of affording one but if I had the money I would rather just have the engine and brakes in a full fat and not bother with all the extra performance stuff that will come with the RS. So a slightly more powerful supercharged for me please!
