So, my cats like chewing on my laptop charger cable, I stopped them doing this by moving it and them apart for a few times and they kinda got the message.

now after discovering a bit right next to the part that connects to the laptop, had been chewed again, but this time they had actually exposed the wires inside, I got some sugru to repair it, This Is Sugru they have been going for the bit with the sugru on exclusively and now i have teeth marks all over the stuff.

its like crack to them, they cannot even walk past the bag that the charger is put in without trying to rip the bag open to get at the sugru repaired cable.

I just don't understand why, its a rubber type putty stuff that smells not very nice when its unset, now it has set it has no smell to me, it might smell to them but why?

what can i do to stop them trying to eat it and my charger?

This isn't much help but that stuff looks fking awesome!

My cats lick a particular patch of the stone kitchen floor - for hours sometimes. Been doing it for 10 years now. Weirdo cats.

I moulded a sugru hook and stuck it to the side of my computer's TFT so I could hang my headphones on it.

Cat often hangs out with me on the desk but has only rubbed his face against the hook once. No chewing!

Expensive stuff but useful... Btw keep any unopened packets in the fridge and they'll last longer smile
