Jimbo gave me the details of Pertsch & Partners in Germany for the rim bolts and nuts, I used them and it all went very smoothly.
I cant remember the bolt sizes without looking at the invoice but you may be right with m7. They have a good selection but they aint cheap,Wooly.

I think the sockets were available off the flea but they are two different sizes.

If you don't want to buy the sockets you can borrow them for the cost of postage

I did my wheels a couple of years back now and the bolt size is M7. The heads of the nut and bolt are different sizes and have 10 a point star. The sockets were available quite cheaply on the flea at that time.

Search for "laser tools", they have them as black impact type sockets
Put laser 10point socket in the popular auction site

Thanks all for the info and offers of tool loans, I've just got a spare wheel so will slowly be working through all five refurbing so think its probably best I order a pair of sockets off the flea, seen them listed now for £20... Oz2 its a bit far to come at the mo but I may be out there late this year or early next if/when family members decide they want to return....

Back to the bolts, please can someone tell me the length so I can order some new ones????

Cheers, Al.

Laser 5132 (8 mm for the bolts) and 5133 (10 mm for the nuts) to be precise.

After finding the right items online, the Dutch distributors for Laser wanted me to go to one of their dealers, order them, wait for ten days, and then return to pick up my order (provided they actually arrived) as 'we only sell though our dealers' rolleyes

Fortunately Amazon dot co dot uk came to the rescue, 8 quid a piece - twenty euros delivered to my mailbox. smile

Sometimes as an aftermarket trade journalist I heard that times are hard for the tool trade. For some, it's hard coming around to living in the 21st century, indeed... laugh

Hi I've got a big problem the rims are coming loose and car is undrivable. it looks like m 8 too small and m9 is too big (ten point)
The tools advertised for sale for Oz say m7......surely this is even smaller? Any help please stick in Greece with no ideas locally

Laser Tools 6345 Split Rim Socket Bit Set has the two sockets you need - the bolts and nuts are different sizes. Laser also supply the sockets separately. Offered by several sellers on ebay if you don't want to buy direct.
