I have had a change of plan (potentially) and may now be back toward a 2 seat roadster rather than a 4 seat convertible.

Does anybody have and thoughts on this car?

It does not have sat nav, cruise or xenons but everything else is present and correct including Bridgestone Potenzas (RFT not standard tyres but there you go) and seems to be in good condition from what I have discussed on the phone.

Looks nice if you can put up with the baby sick interior

The N52 engine (late 2005 on) is a cracking engine, I have it in my 530i sport so I can imagine it will make the Z4 rather potent. Certainly looks a nice car but watch out for roof motor failure which can be costly and fiddly if DIY.

Superficial I know but that interior is hideous.

The interior has grown on me - I have not seen it in the flesh yet but it does break up the black on black of a 'standard' car!

I like the colour combo a lot, sick of seeing black interiors in what is meant to be an interesting car. Sounds like a decent one and from the right area etc for chances are its been looked after.

Had one for a brief time, was great to look at (fastback coupé), went very well and sounded the dog's b***ocks with the foam removed from the sound generator (top tip here!).

Thirst was reasonable I found, and didn't have it long enough to test reliability.

Sold because I found out I was going to be a father and it lacked one seat to be our only car!

I like the interior. I was sorely tempted by a Messing green 330Ci with a similar colour interior. smile

I have a few thoughts.

I don't like the interior colour.
Black paint is a ball ache to keep clean.
Not keen on petrol inline 6s or manual gearboxes.
I don't like convertibles.
BMW halogen head lamps are rubbish.
Those alloys are really dated and a nightmare to clean.

But if you like it that's all that matters.

Like it, except the wheels, if think they are off a 3 series, look dated and need changing for the 108 bbs split rims then it will be really nice.

The wheels are standard issue for the facelift E85 and look similar to the MV2 from the E46. I much prefer them to the 5 spoke or CSL type but everybody has their own preference.

MV2s were standard fit, but you're right they age the car. Not a fan of 108's either though.

I'd be in for M3 CSLs on it.

Looks a good'un although the red interior would be preferable

It is really interesting to hear different views on these things. I think the MV2s look much more modern than the 108s etc. My last Z4 (pre facelift) had 5 spokes but from a 1 series that actually worked well.

I think it's a great looking car and, for what its worth, I love the interior, not OTT but breaks up the black. smile

I used to have the coupe version and it was a great car, but the ride can be a bit poor on rough roads with run flats, seats were very comfortable for long distances and the interior was very well put together. The wheels were fiddly to keep clean though.
