I need to replace both track rods and want to ask what they came from originally ?
I have an early Chimaera without power steering - I suspect they may be ford?
Just hoping to get a part number so I can go to All Parts and get them over the counter ?
Thanks in advance
Steve

Stolen from elsewhere..

Track rod end - Mk2 Escort/Cortina Mk 3/4/5 - £5.72 exc. VAT
Motaquip #VTR151
Q/H #QR1384S
Unipart #GSJ388
Federal-Mogul (Moog) #FD-ES-0334

This is always good, but lists no track rod ends..

I've only stolen the info, never bought them myself so don't blame me if they're wrong biggrin

I looked at a couple of photos and they looked right though, they came from the page that supplied a lot of info to the chimaera pages alternative parts list.

slight miss understanding - I'm looking for the track rods not the track rod ends ?
Inner track rod that goes through gaiter into rack
Any part numbers anyone ?
Cheers

I don't think you'll pick them up from your local "Motor Factor" ?

might be worth talking to these guys.

Where can you get them at that price?
My local factors want £7 odd plus VAT.

yep I can as I wasn't ready to pay for the TVR name on the invoice. The 295mm ties are from a Granada and the 330mm ties are from a Ford panel van part number ss735 I paid 9 quid this morning rod ends are ford Granada six quid but you will have to compare those as mine were on a race car and might be a tad more heavy duty but I dought it.
