That`s a tight fit ! I wonder why it`s not been done on the Rover engine . It frees so much space in the engine bay .

It is tight....it also sits slightly lower than the rover system, but not by much.... Considering the pipe diameter size increase its about all you can fit up there really...smile

rv8 slightly wider, exhaust ports are above the top chassis rails, so cannot do downwards.

Mine go forward then down each side..... It's like two 4 cylinder systems..... The first place each side joins up, is at the silencer behind the gearbox..

Will the close proximity of the exhaust to chassis cause you any short term issues (rattling when under load), and long term issues (burning off the chassis coating)? Looks cleverly made though!

My RV8 pipes join up in front of the engine, in a beautiful stainless steel sculpture, lovingly nurtured from raw materials by a skilled artist in the south coast off-shore metallurgical industry clap

To be honest... I can't hear much of anything when under loadhehe...

Chassis has been hot zinc sprayed under the powder coat, so should be ok for some time yet...

that's a neat instal mate, like the way the pipes go down leaving space for the air intake, this is very close to the exhaust on a lot of ls installs, think its because they fit cats in that area on some, is yours cat less?
