Looks like it could come from the tail of a MIG 21

ETA: Now the hard bit: you'll have to find the rest of the plane and fit it back

Thats it wow THANKS :-)......erm are these things rare or not?
Ok need a model link now.
Its the housing and antenna for a sirena 2 passive radar warning receiver on a Mig 21. The three rods sticking up in front of it are IFF antennas. Ok need a model link now.
The colour scheme comes from many Mig 21s.
I think on later models this became the transponder fairing and the metal probe sticking out is a static wick.

MiG 21s are definitely not rare. They had one of the highest production runs of a post World War 2 military aircraft - almost 11,500 built.Ok need a model link now.
Obviously, PIECES of MiG 21s are relatively rare - especially in civilian hands.
Regarding models, what particular scale did you have in mind. There are quite a few good models of the MiG 21 around in the various common scales (1/72, 1/48 and 1/32).
In 1/72 I would suggest the Revell Mig 21F.
In 1/48, the Eduard kit is well regarded -
In 1/32, the Trumpeter kit is the latest so will be manufactured using modern moyulding thechniques. I'm always a bit dubious about Trumpeter though. Their kits often flatter to deceive -
As you can see from the various box arts, the MiG 21 evolved quite a lot over its long production run. I prefer the neater and tidier looking earlier versions.
Thanks again guys. I am not a model builder but thought it would look good if it had clearly the piece I have on it. A small kit I will build. ..first time in 40 years I would guess ha.
On a stand next to it would be great. Ill look on ebay and amazon but any other place thats a good deal will be helpful.
