He's not a rubbish manager.... Many clubs would do better with him at the helm. Who will see the potential and sign him first?

My shortlist would be:

1. Spuds (lots of experience in taking a small underachieving club upwards)
2. Newcastle (this would be a shame)
3. Villa

He should have six months off assess the offers towards the end of the year and enjoy spending the fifteen million or so that he should pocket for ending the contract early.

I've already proposed him on the Canaries' thread. You're right, he's a good manager, just got talked into the wrong job. I don't think NCFC could afford him, though.

Sam out of West Ham would be a tragedy, he is doing exactly what is needed there right now. Mid table, could finish as high as 10th or so.

Villa and Moyes is a match made in Heaven. A boring Heaven, i'll grant you. Or a relegated threatened team, a West Brom or a Hull (perhaps he would see this as a step down too far)

That said, if his reputation has been so badly damaged, he could choose to go abroad. A mid-table dutch team perhaps like Schteve Mclaren.

Spuds or Norwich if they stay up.

Villa in maybe 6 months.

All much of a muchness at that level.....

His payout probably means he wont be working anywhere for a year....unless he wants to hand back the money or take a pay cut. That seems the normal thing in these circumstances. I suspect it's been a bruising experience for him.....I can't see him going to Spuds and working for Levy....what he wants more than anything is time to build again.
