Just so you all have advance warning, the present db rating of 130 is dropping to 120 next year.
How do I know that? Got told about the car putting out 130db on drive-by yesterday evening.New owners ruling by all accounts.

Unlikely to be a "new owners ruling."

I was told exactly the same thing last year for 127 dB. Did they show you the photograph with the dB reading? I have a copy of mine somewhere.

The noise limit is actually 95 dB static and 140 dB drive by.

"Furthermore, the noise threshold value is not allowed to exceed the level in accordance with the near field measurement method (95 dB [A]) and the maximum sound-power level (140 dB [A]) stipulated by Nürburgring Betriebsgesellschaft mbH, measured when the vehicle is driving past"

Some (gullible) people will believe anything. E.g. Hitler built the Nürburgring.

Well I heard he was into his rallying so I guess it would make sense!

As mentioned above, we were told the same thing (apart from your "new owners ruling" nonsense) in June 2013.
