I pointed out a grey tooth to my dentist (I thought it was giving me some pain but since another tooth was filled the ache has gone)

She has poked, prodded, ex-rayed and declared the tooth health healthy. I forgot to ask why it was also grey (the only one)

Why would this be?

I had a dark grey tooth as a youngster. I was told it was because the nerve was dead so the tooth no longer alive. I had a teacher that would always pull a wobbly tooth and she yanked it out. My adult tooth came through normal after that.

Usually signs of things like cavity, infection or something or the other.

I've got one at the moment, had a filling 6 weeks ago and any sensitivity went away.....but as of last week it started aching/hurting like a bh. Another trip to dentist today to find out I have an infection. Great.

Imagine that today!! The teacher would have been sacked.

Yeah I know, this was back in the 70's before everything got all PC and teachers were allowed to tell you off
