When an E9x series BMW has the engine off, and no keys in ignition, is there any power coming from cigarette lighter socket and / or any other power outlet such as USB which could be used, for example, to charge a phone or run an in car dash camera?

Thanks

I have an E92 M3 which powers down the sockets after about 15 mins, not sure about other E9X's.

Our pre-LCI 320 doesn't power any of the 12V sockets until the ignition is turned on.

Thanks for replies. Step backwards from the E46 in my humble opinion. I caught some great footage when mine was parked; neighbour reversed into the car and even thought his was from behind (and camera is front facing) I still caught the impact as the car shook and on the audio the confession. Including all the tears and the row with her husband smile

yep no 12v power after ignition off, agreed it is a bit of a pain. Interesting to note M3 has a 15min timer on this, reminds me of the thread on different cruise control limitations between M/non-M E9X cars.
