Its a Harwood's charity day - anyone going? I'll be there in my Elise, praying the rain stops!

I called Harwoods today for availability, one space left for £185,

Given that there's limit of 5 cars on track at any one time and 40 spaces I didn't rate the cost per lap! Normally 20 minute sessions meaning 140 minutes between sessions!!!!!!

Shame really as this is an excellent circuit right on my doorstep. I may pop down in the morning, always fun in the rain. Those that are going, have fun and stay safe.

Well you missed a goodun... no rain (bit damp first session) reasonable amount of track time, got to listen to a Merc SLS thunder past as well as some of the noisiest Astons I've ever heard... and 5 laps in one of Harwood's F-type R's...

Oh and a free lunch and a voucher for another free lunch for me and Mrs Timbo at the Kennels.

Bargain.

I managed to pop in and watch for half an hour. A range of lovely and very fast cars on show.

The Aston Martins sounded brilliant along the main straight, the R35 exhaust sounded very loud (surprised it passed Goodwoods low DB test) and I noticed a well driven but aggressive black 911.

I popped in for an hour and a half to watch the action and wasn't disappointed. Peter Saywell was there in a Black Series SLS and yeah i know what you mean about those Astons smile especially the Orange one, that was seriously loud! i've done a Harwoods day there before and that lunch voucher they give out for the Kennels is really decent, had a lovely lunch there last summer, the meal came to about £70 and didnt have to pay a penny, it was all on Harwoods smile i shall be on the next one in July
