SwissVax Valet at Guildford OPC
Discussion
Anyone had this done (for £149) specifically at Guildford OPC?
"The Swissvax Valet is a deep clean of your Porsches paintwork removing any
particles that come in to contact with your vehicle whilst it is on the
road. A nourishing wax is then applied to the paintwork and left to absorb.
Your Porsche is then hand buffed and polished. The entire process takes 2-3
hours improves any scratches or minor blemishes and leaves the cars
bodywork with a deep mirrored shine and a layer of paintwork protection
bringing it back to a showroom standard. The car is not prepared with a
clay bar."
So is it worth it without the clay first?

It's an ok job, though not like getting a detailer to do it. There is a limit to what you can achieve without a machine. They've done mine before, but I've never paid for it.
I tell them not to wash or clean it in any way these days.
Yup.I tell them not to wash or clean it in any way these days.
All the OPC do is to have their guys apply Swissvax products. There's more benefit from the right skills than the right product. I wouldn't want an OPC rubbing stuff into my car and don't let them wash it because I've seen them washing other cars with old dirty sponges.
I did have the £500 Swissvax done at Guildford OPC before I picked my car up and in sunlight I wasn't impressed with the results. 2 years on and I had the £150 valet done as part of the service but ( I don't know why I expected better) a waste of £150, as others have said I should have spent a bit more and got it done properly.
