I'm trying to remove the exhaust. All was going well until I realized that I had to remove the anti-roll bar.
What is the best way to remove this? Do I need to support the chassis and let the wheels hang to remove the ARB or support the wheels? Is it easy to get off and on again? I don't feel comfortable with the car on four axle stands and currently have the front out riggers supported by concrete blocks with wood under the front corner. I obviously don't want to kill myself or damage the car, would it be safe to add two stands at the rear?
I may just go to a garage...

When removing my exhaust I do usually put it on all 4 axle stands, I normally only drop the centre U clamps on the rear anti roll bar and leave the ends attached to the wishbones this drops it enough for the exhaust to slide through and gives something to rest it on as I'm usually removing/re-fitting the exhaust on my own but others may remove it completely.

And don't forget the bolt that holds the front of the exhaust to the block.

I got mine off whilst it was on a ramp so the car was supported by its wheels, due to various rusty bolts I just undid whatever moved but it is fairly easy to remove and stick back on. Just go for it and it should all become clear what works as you do it, it is literally just another unbolt/bolt back up again thing

Why is it coming off anyway?
The flexi pipe has broken, so need a new one welding on. Received the new part from Racing Green yesterday, along with two new engine mounts. For anybody that is interested in an EBay alternative flexi, I can post pics and dimensions.Cheers

Cheers for that. I'll leave the back wheels supporting the weight then and drop the centre part of the drop link as suggested. Will have another stab at it tomorrow.
Just to make sure that you got it.Leave the ends of the arb bolted to the drop links and just remove the 4 x 13mm bolts holding the 2 U clamps and let the arb swing down still supported by the drop links.
Pull and wiggle the exhaust from the rear and it will slide out through the gap in between the arb and the chassis.
Thanks again to the help received on here, it took me about 20 minutes (in the rain) to get the exhaust off today and it is now down at the welders awaiting a fix. Fingers crossed it will be ready next Tuesday. I'll change the Y-piece back for the catted one now ready for the MOT. May as well do an oil change and a blast of Waxoil whilst it's up on the stands.
I need a couple of those rubber mounts for the exhaust plate.

Easy enough job.
Get the front up on stands.
Remove wheels to help with access.
Take the weight of the mounts by jacking the engine, (a block of wood under the crank pulley in ideal).
Release all the nuts and bolts and wiggle!
Don't forget the spacer plate on the offside mount.
Check you have clearance inbetween the underside of the manifolds and the top chassis rails.
If not, slacken bolts, jack up engine and re tighten.

Thanks again Peter. Sounds worthwhile doing whilst the exhaust and y-piece are out. I may crack on with this on Sunday providing the weather holds out.Get the front up on stands.
