I've just bought one of the above and am finding it a bit muted compared to my saloon that i've just sold. Both cars are standard but the saloon sounded more vocal.

As a reuslt, i'm looking for an Eisenmann exhaust for the touring. I know people say they are loud but the touring is quieter than the saloon so i'm hopeful that it won't be too bad. Plus, i lvoe the look of the oval eisenmann exhausts.

So, rather than paying 2k for a new one does anyone know if there are cheaper places to get one? They don't come up on ebay that often for the touring. Does anyone know if the saloon and touring Eisenmann back boxes are the same as that will make the search easier.

Any thoughts are welcome.

ps-what a car!!! Every bit as good as the saloon and much more practical and exclusive. Uber discreet as well!

Cheapest way would be to go to an exhaust centre and ask them to remove the pipes with the cats and run straight pipes from front down pipe to rear silencers.

You will get a better sound....say 10-15% louder, more power and some say better mpg. Downsidw is your co2 will go up and possibly cause MOT issues. However...if you dont chop and cut out the orignal cats and pipes...it will be easy to 'restore' back to normal.

you will find that a lot of companies advertising 60/61 as the same but their not. the 61 runs lower to clear a support member . look at the supersprint site

http://www.supersprint.com/en/IT/prod-350-12582-bm...

they use the standed box but with a modified cross member

ps welcome to one of the most exclusive cars in the uk.

E61 is not quieter than the E60 externally. Its only due to the design of the boot space that it sounds different inside.

Mate, I love the way my E60 sounds with Hayward & Scotts, they're made for the E61 aswell.

Literally just fitted (listen with your sub woofer system, deep bass)

I'm not a fan of the Eisenmann system, they're too high pitched in my opinion.

Hope this helps

I've just removed the Eisenmann exhausts from my Touring and put them up for sale. I had a topic in here yesterday with a link to the ad on PH but it's been removed for some reason, so I'll just simply say that they're advertised on this site at the moment and I'm open to offers.

Video with original exhaust.
Video with Eisenmann.

^^They removed it because the advertising section is where the advertising section should be. smile We've all tried a crafty 'free-ad' on here but those mods are hot on it.

I figured that'd be why, but I just didn't really understand it 'cos I'd advertised them in Classifieds anyway, and the ads are free for parts, so not like they've lost any revenue from me not listing it in the correct place.

Ah well, never mind smile The real surprise was that eBay wanted to charge me £47.50 to list them on their site for 5 days.

Plus 10% final price and any PayPal fees? Ouch!
