He is at least showing hunger and desire. That is a good sign. A player that wants to prove himself.I follow the English teams in Europe, despite not being an LFC supporter.
If LFC continue to play at the standard they did last night they will be exiting before the group stages!
For me, the only stand out players in the team last night was Moreno & Sterling, they seemed to be the only ones making things happen. Balotelli was no better than useless until Borini came on, Mignolet is really dodgy & either needs a change of training coach or to not be playing in the C.League. Sakho looks like he's continually running in treacle & some of Lovrens decision making was questionable!
I really think if they play in the formation they started in last night they'll struggle in the league, it shows how much of an asset Sturridge is to you guys & how much you miss him!

He's always been a bit of a Kuyt - it's a comparison I made when he first joined. However Kuyt did have a habit of cropping up with an important goal every now and then. Let's hope Borini can do the same!Lots of running, not so many goals ?
Borini had a decent return for Roma where he played up front. The problem with a striker of his type with bigger players in the side is that they inevitably get played out of position and his goals ratio will suffer as a result. That said his return for Sunderland wasn't stellar was it - merely ok. At least he is a tryer unlike, say, Aquilani, and if he gets a run in the side I'd expect him to get a few goals.
