Is Gerrard just getting the sympathy selection these days ? If Bodgers is going to play Allen, & Henderson then surely Lallana should be playing instead of Gerrard . Lallana's looked pretty decent as of late & I just think you need to " get at them " at home.

Nice to see this popular thread running nice n smooth btw.
I'm hoping that Gerrard plays in attacking midfield rather than the quarterback position. Can't see us having the guile to play Mario in if Allen or Henderson play behind the striker.

Gerrard clearly can't and shouldn't be playing every minute of every match but this isn't the game where he'd be rested. Should have happened at qpr.

Isn't this exactly the sort of game he usually decides to turn up in?

agrred, but if his attitude is wrong or he gets a yellow, sub him immediately not at 60, and not at 45 - do a JM and sub him after 20-30 or minute after card

if he wants to play RM in the CL he has to work for it and appreciate the chance he has been given like Lambert or Llama would

I always feel for the travelling supporters, when you see all the coaches and the soccerbus queues to the station after a crap game where we haven't turned up it must be a miserable trip back.

Through the eighties we didn't know how lucky we were to have such top class footie on our doorstep

It's not too bad for me, not had a holiday in a couple of years so it's nice to have some time away from the company!

Plus I've treated myself to first class on the train, currently taking to a guy with two young lads who flew in from Iceland last night and flies back tomorrow first thing! Couple more people astound us are also heading to the match.

Can't even hear the inevitable footie chanting that will be loudly being sung in commoners class over the sound of toffs munching caviar. hehe
