So a bit of a mixed bag but anyway.

I started the year with 2 Saab 9-5s.

Both pretty much budget beaters. The green car was very clean throughout having been with it's previous owner for quite a few years. Just a 2.0 light pressure turbo job but it drove very well although it quite promptly shat its turbo and needed the sump dropped for some de-sludging work. A year later and with an impending MOT and knowledge that it needed a few odds and sods I happened upon a super cheap 2.3 Auto (The blue car). Again it was a straight car and I ran it from July 13 through to January past with no expenditure needed.

Both Saabs were sold at the start of this year for pretty much what they had cost me. Result. However I do actually miss the 2.0 and wish I'd kept it.

Daily duties from Feb to the end of last week were fulfilled by a super tatty but actually mechanically strong Peugeot 406 1.9TD estate. Sold to a mate who needed a car it was a faithful hound and great for lugging stuff about in. No pictures unfortunately, it wasn't exactly pretty!

Going back a little, I picked up a 2002 Mr2 in Jan this year.

It needed the headlights refurbed and I pretty quickly decatted the troublesome precats (arse of a job) but with 57K, 1 owner the past 8 years and with aircon and a hardtop I thought it was a decent little car to buy. Threw some fresh Hankook tyres on as well. Good fun to drive but as I've only done 300 miles in it in 5 months it may have to go...

A car that has earned its permanent place is my 2005 Yaris D4D. The newest and yet most unloved car I own, had it 4 years but it just works. It's now on 123K but still returning almost 60mpg, 30 quid tax and it's probably worthless now as it's well battle scarred. My better half drives this currently but with 2 kids she desperately needs something bigger. I'll hold onto this until it dies though. It runs dunlop winter rubber all year round and is by far, the cheapest most hassle free car I've ever had.

Latest purchase is my new daily. A 2002 Alfa 166 SuperLusso.

Previous owner had it 12 years and spent plenty on it. No doubt it'll financially ruin me to. I suppose when it breaks down I have something nice to look at under the bonnet wink

Most of it works and from some angles it's not a bad old thing to look at. I'll smoke about in this for a while and see what happens.

Not the most attractive or valuable fleet on here but these 3 work for me. Really the next step is to buy the Mrs. something more family orientated and with the miles I do a 3.0 V6 is not the most sensible choice but hey ho.

That's a very diverse fleet - just the way it should be. A car for every occasion smile

...although just to be on the safe side (and to cover all bases), you really should get an estate too. Maybe room for another 9-5 wink

So, an overdue update:

Plenty come and gone:

There's been a few others, Volvo C70, a rattly old Pug 406 and a Rav4.

Current fleet is a 2018 ST line Fezza and an elderly W211 E500 neither of which I seem to have pictures of!

Sweet spot was the Disco for family duties and the MX for fun, the E500 is a fairly good car though which I seem to be settled with.
