Time for a 'Missing words' round from the PH collective? silly
I'll start - I may be gone for some time ... whilst I explain some aspects of sensor architecture such as; the amount of charge conveyed to a well by a photon and photon flux density, to say nothing of cell size, filter efficiency, well leakage, well saturation, buried cell interconnect, d-a conversion noise, systemic noise such as residual power supply noise and how they demonstrate the true meaning of versatility and how they are essential to capturing the decisive moment of a static product shot sleep.

I wonder whether, in the days of chemical photography, people were drawn from what was originally a perfectly good hobby by bickering over the shortcomings of 35mm negatives, ferricyanides, chelates and whether or not sepia extracted from dead insects was sufficiently uniform...

I expect so.

But naturally! Who would be so crass as to NOT trust to a two-bath developer.....?....

The OP seems to have left in May.

Possibly on account of an increasingly predictable tech-fight over the wonders of EVFs...

That seems like a sensible price.

Did you buy any other kit such as lights. Getting the lighting right even with a poor camera seems to be the key. Most of my products shots I usually take outdoors simply to try and get better light!

Any tips since you got this camera much appreciated, I might follow suit.

Also slightly ot but can these DSLR's record sound from a clip on sound cable, ie if interviewing in movie mode. Is there an input to allow this type of function?

Just bought the D3300 from John Lewis with the 3 year accidental damage guarantee. Hope this does the trick, I have a fair bit to learn!

I also need a "sound cable" / microphone, a clip on type for interviewing people, some available on ebay, any recommendations much appreciated.

Also a lighting rig/tent for product photography (max chair size objects), again lots on eBay?
