Perth people - Anyone looking for a senior HR manager?

Hopefully this wont get moved to the jobs section where it'll never be seen!

My brother-in-law was recently made redundant from a large company in the UK that produces a big yellow book of phone numbers. He's been there for years as a senior HR manager and is now looking to come over here to join us.

Obviously he's looking on Seek etc. but has found, as I did, that many agencies wont speak to you if you're not here already.

So do any PH Perth people know of any opportunities for a senior HR manager or similar?

I work with a number of corporates and there arent many in Perth to my knowledge. Lots of senior roles have come off recently. However I am sure there is something out there - try looking at the jobs bit in The Australian and Financial Review.

What type of business is he looking to get in to?

Thought though, given the difference in the legality of HR law here v the UK will he struggle with a straight forward move over?

The difference in law is something that's not been considered (as far as I know) so I'll mention it.

Is there a particular day that those two papers have jobs listings? I've never bought either of them!

Unfortunately I don't, they tend to have a few each day.

He could try Hays - they seem to have market sewn up up.
